Brioche Hat: Part 2


Learn about 2-color brioche increases and decreases while making this beautiful hat, Liguria by Katrin Schubert.  This is a two-part course.  The first session will be used to knit the base of the hat while learning the increase and decrease in the design.  The second session will be used for questions and working the crown.

Materials: 3.5mm/US4 16in circular and double point needles, two skeins of approximately 225yds/100g of heavy DK to worsted weight yarn (one dark, one light for high contrast), stitch markers, yarn needle or crochet hook for weaving in ends.  You will also need to purchase the Liguria pattern through Ravelry from home or at the shop.

Prerequisites: Student must be comfortable Old Norwegian Sock Cast-On/German Twisted Cast-On, brk, brp.

Homework: Have your pattern and yarn ready.  It would be most beneficial to cast on your main color before the start of class so you are ready to brioche!
